Hi, I'm Jannet.
Founder, designer and lifelong maker of things.
As a kid, I was always drawing or painting something. Shout-out to ClarisWorks on the Power Macintosh! I'd take random photos around suburbia (I spent all my teenage savings on an Olympus C-60z camera, now valued at about $50), or mess around with art supplies after school trying to make a masterpiece. Usually without reading the manual.
I failed at the masterpiece part. But I did start selling my creations on eBay. Yes, people actually bought them (surprisingly). So I figured graphic design might be worth studying.
Off I went to read the manual. After graduating, I worked in fashion and apparel graphic design for clothing and accessories brands. Somewhere along the way, I got a little tired of putting graphics on T-shirts from style guides. Except you, Pikachu. I will always choose you.
On weekends I started playing with paint and photography again. I loved it. I left my job soon after. Very responsible move.
Print and Proper began in 2017 with just a handful of designs, followed by plenty of hard work and sleepless nights. Today, it's a proudly Australian-owned online art store, helping people in Australia and around the world find artwork that feels like them.
With more than 2,000 designs to explore, I'm hoping you'll find “the one” — or the two or three, if that's what you're into. And if you don't see it, we can help you create something custom.
